I made this for you [Resume template] | 5 questions to ask before scheduling another meeting

I'm giving away my million-dollar template for FREE.

👋 Hey, it’s Jean!

This week, I did something crazy.

I gave away my $100 resume template for free for nothing in return, and 2500+ of you downloaded it (see post).

And it’s one of the best things I’ve built (it helped folks land interviews at Adidas, Salesforce, and Oracle).

If you haven’t grabbed it yet, here it is:

Next, let’s face it. 70% of meetings could’ve been an email.

Don’t be one who comes unprepared, wasting people’s time.

5 Questions To Ask (Before Scheduling a Meeting)

☝️ 1. What’s the purpose of the meeting?

→ Define the purpose, agenda, and ideal outcome.

Example:

Purpose: Get leadership alignment on our X go-to-market strategy. This meeting will be successful if we get a consensus on our plan to move forward next week.

Agenda:

Introduction - 5 min

Plan Overview - 10 min

Nex steps - 5 min

✌️ 2. Is the meeting really necessary?

→ Do I need live input, or can this be achieved offline via email or instant messaging?

🤟 3. Is this meeting one-time only or recurring?

→ Set appropriate settings and update the title, for example, 'monthly status syncs.'

🖖 4.  Who is the key decision-maker?

→ Ensure this person and all necessary people attend (reach out in advance to confirm).

🖐️ 5.  Who else needs to be invited?

→ Identify key cross-functional people who can weigh in to avoid potential back and forth.

Most people don't ask these questions and end up wasting time.

I thought this was brilliant. Here are 6 signs this meeting could’ve been an email.

What templates can I build for you?
