DMs that will never work

Please don’t do this. I get these all the time, and they don't work!

Why? Because there’s zero value.

An example DM that actually worked

Why it works

  • Adds enough context: “I’ve already applied; blurb below.”

  • Specific low-lift ask: “Flag my name to the hiring manager/recruiter.”

  • Highlighted their value in TLDR: See blurb (4 lines)

  • It gave me an out: “Thanks for considering.”
