CNBC interviewed me to share how I grew my side hustle to a 6-figure business in less than 6 months of quitting my tech job (read why I left a $300K career).

→ What are people asking you about?

→ What skills/talents come naturally for you vs others?

I became a program manager coach because people were asking me how I did it and if I could coach/mentor them.

This gave me the confidence to help people and recognize my value.

✌️ 2/ 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 (𝗠𝗩𝗣) 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱.

→ What’s a bare-bones product you can immediately launch?

→ Example: start a 1-1 coaching business, create a newsletter, share free guides, run free/paid masterclasses, etc.

I shared one post on LinkedIn announcing that I was taking coaching clients, added a Calendly link, and booked out for two weeks.

Little did I know, this was JUST the beginning.

🤟 3/ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲/𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆.

→ What are the 20% of tasks resulting in 80% of impact?

→ What systems/tools can streamline the most time-consuming tasks?

✔️ Client onboarding (I used HoneyBook)

✔️ Accounting/bookkeeping (I hired bookkeepers and a CPA)

✔️ Library of resources (I used Google Docs, Notion, and now Circle)

I realized 1-1 coaching was unsustainable, so I ran a group cohort.

This allowed me to go from 1-1 to 1-many, 10X my income, and preserve my bandwidth.

🖖 4/ 𝗕𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

→ Ship it before it’s perfect, learn and then iterate

→ Execution over perfect strategy

I never waited for a perfect moment to launch coaching, guides, newsletter, etc.

My goal was to learn as I go because you can ALWAYS make it better.

And sometimes, things that work for others won’t work for YOU.

I hope my story inspires you that things work out when you bet on yourself.

It's not going to be easy, but it will be WORTH IT 💙
