😱 4 biggest myths holding you back (PS you don't need a PMP)

I’m a self-taught and accidental program manager, who tried a bunch of roles — from sales and account management to ops and customer success.

I don’t have ‘formal experience’ and never got my PMP but I always bet on myself and landed dream jobs at places like LinkedIn, Pinterest and now Figma. 

So, what's stopping you? The key is your mindset.

Here are the four biggest myths holding you back from your next program manager role.

(𝟭) "𝗜 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗣𝗠 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲"

There is no 'right experience'. Pivots are possible if you can translate what you've done to the job at hand.

You don't need your PMP to land a job. I have 0 certifications and helped 6 pivoters land PM jobs in 8 months.

Focus on getting experience right now (internships, side hustles, current role).

Maybe but you will never know unless you give it a shot. To land a full-time Program Manager role, I met 70% of the requirements. Think about it.
