1/ Project Planning

Hone your ability to create detailed project plans and schedules.

Set precise goals, define project scope, decision making matrix, allocate resources, and establish timelines. If something is do by end of week by 5pm PST, document it and follow up.

Leverage project planning tools like Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, or Asana to manage project schedules and to do’s efficiently.

2/ Risk Management

Anticipate surprises by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks that could disrupt your projects.

Jot every possible risky scenario, measure impact (not likely, likely, highly likely) and come up with a mitigation plan for each one prioritizing the one that is MOST likely.

It doesn’t have to be clean just get sh*it on paper and plan for it.

3/ Change Management

Change management is all about driving the why (what’s in it for the business, the teams impacted and for our customers?). Then, it’s about helping people navigate through it.

Top-tier Program Managers not only embrace change but thrive in it.
