👋 Hey, it’s Jean!

This newsletter is evolving into a place where it’s more than sharing my best career, job search, and project management tips.

Similarly, on LinkedIn, I want to share more about myself—my journey from tech to solopreneurship and lessons on living a more authentic life.

Two months ago, I quit my dream job at Figma to bet on myself and help others.

This story was featured on BUSINESS INSIDER, where I was headlining next to Mr. Beast and the Nvidia CEO! Please pinch me 🙀. Give it a read, and let me know what you think!

As you can see, I’m invested in helping others and have built a cohort to help program managers land their next role and rise in their careers.

And it’s not like other cohorts.

I intentionally built an experience to transform students from the inside out.

  • Get clarity on your PM career path (turning self-doubt into a strategy)

  • Get confidence in applying to the right roles (without mass applying)

  • Feel empowered to articulate your value in interviews and on LinkedIn

  • And building unstoppable confidence to thrive and advance your career (as a program manager)

And for the first time, I unveiled the curtains:

  • A full breakdown of my big tech case studies and interview prep

  • Access to my personal and client resumes at top tech companies

  • Secret to my x7 pivots landing dream tech jobs with no experience (going from entry-level to senior PM in 2 years)

And here’s what I heard 🥹:

“You can tell she is in this to help others truly, and does so with an innate ability to eloquently share the immense wealth of knowledge she has gained over the past decade pivoting and growing into roles she's never taken on.

“Jean is at the top of her game and is ready to let everyone in on it!”

“Jean is truly a PM wizard, a rare and amazing coach who helped clarify my vision and goals.”

“Jean really taught me a lot about program management and provided a much richer and deeper depth and how we can fit into any program manager role at any company.”

Now, let’s talk about the lessons.

3 lessons whenever you’re at a crossroads (in life or career)

1/ You don’t need to know everything — learn as you go

The worst thing you can do is do nothing. I was successful in my career because I embraced the fear of failing and gave myself the grace to figure things out.

This meant learning how to pitch ideas, work with executives, and execute projects on the fly. In the same way, I am learning how to be a boss daily — defining my schedule, building processes, and supporting my clients.

2/ Believing in yourself is half the battle

Sho is one of my favorite creators. The secret to getting any job you want is believing you can do it and are the perfect person.

This is how I pivoted from a Customer Success Manager to a Program Manager at LinkedIn without starting over (read here). This is how I launched a cohort with no real experience (see a theme here?)

Believe it first, then others will believe you. Check out his video.

3/ Learning is better with others

Folks want to work with me 1-1 and receive tailored support. While that is true, I saw the power of a community first-hand.

The beauty of a community is that you get coaching, personalized attention, and a group of peers who want you to succeed.

Success is contagious. See this pic of all of us eager to learn and thrive ❤️
